Colleen McCracken
Strategic Business Advisor
Colleen McCracken is a strategic business advisor with more than three decades of leadership experience helping organizations strengthen performance, navigate growth, and prepare for the future. Drawing on her background as a CEO and senior executive, she advises business owners and leadership teams on the strategic and financial decisions that shape long term success.
Colleen works closely with leaders on strategic planning, financial modeling, business planning, leadership development, succession planning, and board governance. Her approach helps leaders better understand the financial dynamics of their organizations while building the leadership structures needed for sustainable growth.
Before joining CMA, Colleen held senior leadership roles across finance, operations, and executive management with organizations including WR Grace and G.H. Bass. She later served as CEO of Planet Dog, a designer and retailer of premium dog products, and previously served as CEO and CFO of Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers, a manufacturer and retailer of handcrafted American furniture.
Colleen’s experience leading both family owned and non family owned businesses gives her a deep understanding of the challenges CEOs and business owners face when balancing growth, financial performance, and leadership transition.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley University and completed an Executive MBA with High Honors from Boston University.
A strong advocate for education and leadership development, Colleen serves as Vice Chair of the Board for Junior Achievement of Maine. She previously served as Chair of the Institute for Family Owned Business and has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of New England, frequently guest lecturing on leadership and entrepreneurship.
